Ms. Willie Frances Sims, 515 West Main Street, Waverly, VA passed peacefully at Southside Regional Medical Center, Tuesday, February 17, 2015. She was born February 20, 1942 to the late Freddie Walker Sr. and Mary Williams Walker. She was preceded in death by her children: Tommie L. Sims, Jr. and Glenn E. Sims.

Frances was a member of First Baptist Church, Waverly for 49 years, where she was a member of the Church Choir and the Hospitality Committee. She was employed at Fort Lee and Sussex Central Elementary School.

She leaves to cherish her memories, five children, Samuel C. "Mickey" Walker (Brenda), Telesea M. Sims (Tascharner), Larry D. Sims Sr. (Tammara), Loretta A. James, Arizona E. Curley (Joseph); five adopted children, Larry Sims Jr., Danielle Sims, Trena Sims, Malik Delk, Shaquielle Delk; three sisters, Bessie Chandler (Willie), Doretha Ballard, Mildred Chaplin; four brothers, Bearl Walker (Rose), Freddie Walker, Alexandria Walker (Oneida), Willie B. Powell (Rosa); eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service for Ms. Willie Sims will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 315 Church Street, Waverly, VA, Rev. Dr. Ronald C. Taylor, Pastor, Rev Jerry Parham, Eulogizing. Interment will follow at the Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, VA.
