Warren L. Flowers, Sr., 74, of 321 Pine Street, Waverly, Virginia, peacefully passed at home in Waverly, VA, surrounded by loved ones on Friday, October 3, 2014. He was born in Waverly, VA to the late George and Blanche Flowers.


Warren was a 1958 graduate of Sussex County Training School. He served four years in the U.S. Navy receiving an honorable discharge.He was employed with Metro Transit, Washington, D.C. for eighteen years and Yellow and Silver Cab Companies in San Diego, CA for ten years.


He is survived by: his wife, Wilma Bailey Flowers; daughters, Tiffany Flowers and Wanza Swann (Ronald); sons, Sean (deceased) and Warren Flowers, Jr. (Mattie); sisters, Jean Robinson and Jacquelyn Smalls; grandchildren, Dante, Brandon and Anaya; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.


A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Cheltenham Military Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, Maryland 20623
