On Sunday, February 8, 2026, God in his infinite wisdom summoned our loved one to make the transition from life here to eternal rest and peace.

Warnetta S. Turner "Nee Nee" was born November 12, 1930 to the late Fenton Sr. and Anna Sills Turner. She was a life long member of Liberty Baptist Church. Warnetta was the oldest member of the Church.  She lived a long and enjoyable life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her four sisters, Kay Ruth of Sussex County, Geneva Murphy of Alexandria, VA, Jessie Wyche of Waverly, VA and Velma Tucker of Philadelphia; four brothers, Fenton Turner, Calvin Turner, Hoyd Turner all of Waverly, VA and Franklin Turner of Washington, DC; nephew she raised Dennis Turner of Newport News, VA.

Warnetta leaves to cherish her memory, one sister Mary Tucker of Disputanta, VA; one brother Robert Turner of Waverly, VA; four nieces she helped raise Loretta Majette (Gregory) of Petersburg, VA, Natalie Turner of New Kent County, Olympia Smith of Newport News, VA and Twanna Green (Danny) of Florida; two nephews, Larry Turner (Carolyn) of Henrico, VA, Bobby Turner (Brenda) of Florida; her baby Laura Connors of North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Minerva Turner of Waverly, VA and Louise Wyche of Florida; two very special people in her life that was always there for her, Virginia Morris and Beverly Hartz of Waverly, VA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to numerous to name and her Liberty Baptist Church Family.

Public Viewing will be 12Noon - 5:00pm Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Peace Funeral Home 237 Railroad, Avenue, Waverly, Virginia 23890.

A Celebration of Life will be 12Noon Monday, February 16, 2026 at Liberty Baptist Church, 319 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, Virginia 23890, Rev. Bobby Ricks, Pastor.  Interment will follow at Waverly Cemetery, Spring Branch Road, Waverly, Virginia.
