Obituary

On Tuesday July 15, 2025, Ta'Shawn Antonio Harris closed his eyes in death at VCU Medical Trauma Center.  He graduated from Sussex Central High School in May 2024.

He was a "Beautiful" person and was definitely the apple of our eyes. He enjoyed eating, cooking, drawing, listening to music and riding his bike, and playing his video games.  He too loved his family, but unfortunately a disconnect happened in "his" mind, where he wasn't able to rely on, nor remember those things.

On November 9, 2005, Ta'Shawn, affectionately known as "TT", was born to Eugene (Auggie) A. Harris Jr and Sheila A. Harris. His devoted siblings are Ashley Jones-Turner (Jimmy), Captain Terrence A. Harris Sr. (Dr. Denise), Terrell A. Harris and Taylor A. Harris.

Remembering and acknowledging begat: Great-great Aunt Francis Patterson, Grandfather, Retired Chief E-7 Andrew W. Harris Sr. (Virginia), Great Uncles, Dr. Augustus Petticolas (Christine), Retired Lieutenant Colonel Randolph Petticolas, Great Aunt, Warren Johnson, Great Uncles, Pastor Lorenzo, Glenn, Donald, Lenard Baines (Theresa), Great Aunt Margie M. Faulcon; Great Uncles Herman L. Everton Sr. Barry and Great Aunt Patricia Harris, Great Uncle Richard Harris (Dot), Great Aunts Virginia Harris, Eva Mae Cotton and Husband, Odessa Harris Holloman; Uncle Andrew W. Harris Jr., Aunts Michelle S. Spratley, Tamara Gay (Pastor Robert Sr.), Tonya Long (Greg Sr.), Tracy Harris, Telicia Evans (Brother Charles).

TT will be missed by his nephews Jimari, TJ, and Tristen; cousins, EJ, CC, Toccarra, Shawna, Trip, Miles, Myron, Malcolm and Greg Jr, who are known persons in his "Intimate" Circle of Life. There too is a host of so many other family and friends who haven't been named yet are appreciated. To Dr. Denise's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Randolf Williams, children Randi and Kim, extended family, thanks for entertaining us.
