Tears of sorrow hearts filled with Pain. Good Took you away But I won't Complain

Stephen Rodney Bailey of 121 New Street Waverly, Virginia was called home on January 9, 2023.  He was born on July 21, 1969, to Joyce B. Drew and Cobie Drew.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lawrence Bailey, grandmother Gracie L. Bailey, and great-aunt Shirley V. Ricks.

Stephen graduated from Petersburg High School and loved game shows and playing with his buddy and most of all his dear and loving mother Joyce.

He leaves to cherish fond memories are his parents Joyce  Drew and Cobie Drew; four sisters, Stephanie (Terry) Smith, and Keysha Hamlin both of Waverly, Virginia, Neka (Philip Jr) Wilkins of Surry, Virginia, and Vonda Coleman of Norfolk, Virginia; one god-sister, Diamond Jones of Suffolk, Virginia; one niece, Kynnidi (Esha) Bailey of Wakefield, Virginia; one nephew, Jontrell Bailey of Newport News, Virginia; four great-nieces, Kimani, Khiyani, Kansas, Ayvah; two great nephews, Kannan and Kace; one lovely great aunt, Shirley Taylor of Suffolk, Virginia; one god-aunt, Keonuta Harden of Wakefield, Virginia; devoted friends, Violet Coleman of Waverly, Virginia, Arthur and Brenda Drew and the Lily of the Valley Church Family.

The Family of the late Stephen Rodney Bailey would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to you for prayers, gift of love and support, and all acts of kindness that you showed our family in this time of bereavement and sorrow.  We thank God for the life of our beloved.  May God forever keep you in his care as you continue to pray for us, and we will continue to pray for you.  A special Thank you to the Lily of the Valley Church and Bishop Drew.

Public Viewing will be 1:00pm - 5:00pm Friday, January 13, 2023, at Peace Funeral Home 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life will be 1:30pm Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Lily of the Valley Deliverance Center 411 Oak Street Waverly, Virginia, Bishop Marvin Drew Sr., Pastor & Eulogist.  Interment will follow at Waverly Cemetery Spring Branch Road, Waverly, Virginia.
