Mrs. Rubie O. Jones of 915 Covington Court, Waverly, VA went to be with the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was born Rubie O. Hamlin on October 1, 1941, in Sussex County, to Theodore and Sarah Hamlin.

Mrs. Rubie Jones was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Autorn McKinley Jones, two sons Marvin Hamlin, Leon Hamlin, and siblings Wyatt P. Hamlin Sr. and Mrs. Helena Drew, Mrs. Jean C. Harris.

Mrs. Rubie Jones attended Piney Grove A.M.E. Zion Church and Jerusalem Baptist Church of Waverly, VA where she served on the Usher Board. She was a very giving person. She always saw the good in people always had a kind word. She would always tell you she loved you before she got off the phone. She always would say "Hello Darling" Always asked about her grandchildren. She loved her fried chicken. She loved the color red which represents the blood of Jesus. She also loved to say "that's right". We know that she is with God, and her memories will not be forgotten.

She leaves to cherish her memories siblings Norman Hamlin of Newark N.J., Theodore Hamlin of Richmond, VA her children Sylvanious Denson of San Francisco, CA, Anthony Denson of Winter Haven, FL. Bryant Denson (Provakes)of Hampton, VA, Brian (Tammy) of Hampton, VA, her daughter Sheila Turner (Wilbert) of Chesterfield, VA. 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, and a dedicated niece Justina Stith and dedicated friend Loretta Luster.
