Ronald Lee Savedge quietly passed on February 17, 2017 at 10:50am. Ronald Lee Savedge, 60 was born to Violet Clark Savedge, on November 22, 1956 and the late Randolph Bennie Savedge. His parents raised him in a Christian home. He joined the Mount Moriah AME Church at an early age.
Ronald was educated in the Public Schools of Surry County. He didn't mine working starting on the farms from sun up to sun down driving tractor, helping support his Mother and siblings and whatever his hands found to do. He loved to handle heavy equipment; he worked for Busch Construction in Williamsburg over 25 years, Isle of Wright Courthouse Construction Site and at Eagle Harbor, which was his last employment all of his jobs dealt with operating Heavy Equipment. He also received his Certificate of Completion for Rough Terrain Forklifting Safety.
Ronald leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Annette Savedge; daughter, Lacoya Savedge; three grandchildren, Destani Savedge, Deajah Savedge of Surry, VA and Ralph Sykes Jr. of Surry, VA; one brother, Bennie Savedge Jr (Venessa) of Surry, VA; six sisters, Diana Savedge of the home, A. Jane Ellis (Russell) of Waverly, VA, Jacqueline Cofer (Martin) of Windsor, VA, Beatrice Liggins (Wilbert) of Smithfield, VA, Judy Urquhart (Earnest) of Newport News, VA and Pat Culver(USN-Rep Quincy) of Lawrenceville, GA and a special friend, Joyce Taylor and son Joseph of Waverly, VA. A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
