It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Overton Sr. 95, of Waverly, Virginia, formerly of North Carolina who departed this life on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at his residence, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Robert will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and generosity of spirit. His presence touched the lives of friends, family, and the community alike. Though his absence is deeply felt, the legacy he leaves behind continues to inspire and bring comfort to his family and friends.

Public Viewing will be 10:00 am – 5:00pm Friday, August 22, 2025 at Peace Funeral Home, Waverly, Virginia.

Celebration of Life will be 1:00pm Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Peace Funeral Home Chapel, 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, Virginia, Bishop Marvin Drew Sr., Eulogist. Interment will follow immediately at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Virginia.
