Rev. Robert Carlos Palmer, Sr., age 70, departed this life on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. He was born on June 15, 1946 to the late William and Marilyn Palmer in Sturgeon, MO. "Bob", as he was affectionately known, relocated to Virginia with his wife, the late Eloise Ellis Palmer, in January 2001. He immediately joined Jerusalem Baptist Church, Waverly, VA and became an Associate Minister. He served in that capacity until his health began to fail.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Friday, January 27, 2017 at Peace Funeral, 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, VA. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 12 noon, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 6512 Carsley Road, Waverly, VA.
