Obituary

Weeping May Endure for a Night But Joy Comes In the Morning!

Mr. Richard Taylor our Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend departed this life Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at MCV Medical Hospital after a brief illness.  Richard was the 6th of 10 children.  Richard could do most anything that you asked him to do.  He was the son of the Late Walter Taylor and Pearl Taylor.

Richard was proceeded in death by his brother George Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memories, 4 sisters, Lucy Turner, Pearlie Turner(Rev. Fenton Turner), Rose Tabb(Mark Tabb) all of Waverly, VA, Cathlene Taylor of Petersburg, VA; 1 brother, Howard Taylor of Waverly, VA; 1 uncle, Willie Jones(Margaret) of Waverly, VA; 8 nieces, Shamika, Lasheka, June, Denise, Micole, Pam, Doris and Cheryl; 3 nephews, Darryl, Deon and Travis; 10 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.

Richard was a Dallas Cowboy Fan and loved playing dominos and cornhole.  Richard loved everyone that he came in contact with and he loved to have fun.  Among them devoted friends, Steve Cooper, William Hinton, Luther Tatum and many many more.

Special Thanks to the Nursing Staff at Southside Regional Medical Center and VCU Medical Center for all that you did while he was in under your care.  Rest in Peace our Brother, Uncle, Friend.  Remember God Loves You!

Celebration of Life for Mr. Taylor will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Liberty Baptist Church, Rev. Marshall, Pastor.  Interment will follow at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, VA.
