Obituary

Rayton Mark Wilson was born December 20, 1970, in Petersburg, Virginia to his late mother Gloria Jean Broughton Coleman & Father Rufus Wilson Jr.

He graduated from Sussex Central High School in 1989. He Worked several different jobs during his life, he was a long-term employee of Perdue Farms in Prince George, Virginia until his health began to decline.

Ray better known as "Skeeta" was a friendly face with a bright smile and a kind heart who loved all his family and friends. He knew plenty of people and he grew on them all. To know Ray was to love him.

Rayton left behind his daughter Raytasha Garrett (Jerquan Lawrence), son Rayton Garrett Jr. (Kaysey Fields) two sisters Ebony Wilson and Raven Gilliam; four grandchildren Ava Garrett, Jaiden Stith, Aria Garrett and Jada Lawrence; and a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. One lifelong friend Trivonda Swarn.

Rayton enjoyed hanging out making others laugh and cooking, his favorite dish to cook was fried chicken. He also enjoyed listening to music. Reggae songs were his favorite. He often thought he was a Jamaican from his dread locs to his style, Ray loved being around family and friends. He is known for taking care of his handsome appearance and being a fan of Pittsburgh Steelers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 12Noon Saturday, March 1, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Wakefield, Virginia, Rev. Jerry Parham, Pastor and Eulogist.

Public Viewing will be 10:00am – 5:00pm Friday, February 28, 2025, at Peace Funeral Home, 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, Virginia.
