Ora Murphy's Obituary
On Sunday, April 25, 2016 God called home Ora Murphy. She was born May 23, 1929, to the Late Otis P. Jones and L. Q Jones of Waverly, VA. She was also preceded in death by her husband Phillip Murphy Sr.
She was a member of Lily of the Valley Deliverance Church. She was very humble, loved and like by many people.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her brother Willie Jones (Margie), two sisters, Mozelle Graves and Mary Drew; seven children, Ora Lee Barnes (Bobby Lyn), Sue Arleen Murphy, Janice E. Turner (Leroy), Phillip Murphy Jr., Jerry Wyn Murphy Sr. (Sheila) all of Waverly, VA, Yvonne Jones of Baltimore, MD; Clarence Jones (Ann) of Hopewell, VA; one step-son, Chester Johnson, of Waverly, VA. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
Funeral service for Mrs. Murphy will be 2:00pm Friday, April 20, 2016 at Lilly of the Valley Deliverance Church, 411 Oak Street, Waverly, VA, Bishop Marvin Drew, Pastor Officiating. Interment will follow at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, VA.
