On February 7, 2025 Mrs. Ophelia W. "Tiny" Graves, 90,  departed this life at her residence.

Ophelia was born on November 15, 1934 in Sussex County to Robert and Ivory Wilkins. Ophelia was baptized at an early age and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. She received her education from and graduated from Sussex County Training School. She loved planting her flowers and loved to cook.

Ophelia was preceded in death by her parents,  her husband Vernon Graves Sr., her son Vernon Graves Jr., siblings Hoarce, Robert,  James Ben, Walter,  Oscar, Nathaniel, Otis, Maggie Wilkins,  Dezzie Parham, and Ida Mae Richardson.

Ophelia leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Ivory Wilson,  step daughter Lena Saunders (Calvin) of Waverly, VA, grandchildren Anisha Clark (Edward) of Atlanta, Georgia, Stephanie Onyango (Sammy) of Auburn, Washington and Mark Taylor of Waverly, Va; great grandchildren Teagan and Nia; sister in laws Ilona Wilkins, Marion Wilkins, Mary Jeter, Alma Plenty and brother in law Cleveland Graves and a host of nephews,  nieces, other relatives,  friends,  and neighbors,  to include several devoted: Mrs. Patricia Thomas,  Mrs. Janice Jones and Mr. Mack Jones.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 12Noon Saturday, February 22, 2025 at First Baptist Church 315 Church Street Waverly, Virginia, Bridget Wilson, Pastor. Interment will follow at First Baptist Church Cemetery, Waverly, Virginia.
