Merlin "Mack" Brown Jr., departed this life on Thursdya, February 20, 2003 at his residence. He was born on January 17, 1933 to the late Merlin & Leona Brown. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Union Hill United Church of Christ, Sedley, Virginia.

He is survived by two uncles, Ezelle Cooper of Waverly, VA and Matthew Cooper of Littleton, NC; two aunts, Henrietta Drew of Newport News, VA and Margaret Keay of Hampton, VA; three aunts-in-law, Deloris Cooper of Littleton, NC, Mary Cooper and Rev. Ernestine Gilliam of Waverly, VA both of Waverly, VA and a host of cousins and friends; one devoted friend, Kelley Fowler of Prince George, VA.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at Union Hill United Church of Christ, Sedley, VA. Interment at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, VA.
