Mary Frances Womble, 92, of 15700 Sunnybrook Road, Prince George, Virginia passed away, Monday, October 5, 2020, at Southside Regional Hospital Petersburg, VA.  She was born September 26, 1928, to the late John Hill and Virginia Revander.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William E. Womble, her son, Ralph Womble, her grandson, William Alexander Womble, and her great-grandson, Aaron Sumler.

Mrs. Womble was educated in the Dendron Public School System and spent many years as a caregiver providing in-home care for the elderly. When she was nearly 50 years old, she learned to drive.  She loved fishing and playing the piano.  Though she did not think she was good at playing, others thought otherwise.

She was a long-time member of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of The Apostolic Faith in Petersburg, Virginia.  She attended faithfully until her health failed.  In her later years, she had the honor of serving as Mother of the Church.

Mrs. Womble leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, William H. Womble (Shirley) of Surry, Jerry Womble (Brenda) of Richmond, daughter-in-law (Karen) of Richmond, four daughters, Linda Nowlin (Michael) of Dendron, Theresa Shackleford (Eddie) of Richmond, Pauline Wood (Cleo) of Prince George and Rachel Hill of Chester; 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
