Martha Price Barrow passed away peacefully on July 22, 2022, at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia.  She will be sorely missed by those who know her throughout her 68 years, but we hold deep in our hearts that she is not in any more pain.

Martha Ann as she was affectionately known was born on November 18, 1952, in Waverly, Virginia to the Late Wallace Lee Price Sr and Mary Lee Simms Price.  Due to the untimely and sudden death of her mother when she was a young child she was taken in and raised by her recently deceased Sister Annie Stewart.

She graduated from Sussex Central High Class of 1972.  She married Kenny Barrow and to this union were three sons, Deshun Barrow, Maurice Barrow, and Lamonte Barrow.

Martha Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She worked as a Home Health Care Aid, and Retail Cashier, and was employed with Central State Hospital until her retirement in 2014.  She enjoyed good food, good music, and laughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Melvin Clayton Jr.; grandson, brothers, Wallace Lee Price Jr, John "Junie" Walter Price Larry Price; sisters, Annie Stewart and Blanche Price; in-laws, Evelyn Vaughan, Anne Coleman, Addie Baines, John Barrow, Theophilus Barrow Jr., Robert Barrow, David Barrow, and Pernell Barrow.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Barrow; sons, Deshun Barrow, Maurice Barrow, and Lamonte Barrow; sisters, Helen Stephenson, Queen Smith, and Mary Banks; sisters-in-law, Louise Rogers, Shirley Turner (Willie), and Annette Cole; brother-in-law, Earnest Barrow (Vallie) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

A Graveside Celebration of Life will be 1:00pm Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Waverly Cemetery, Spring Branch Road, Waverly, Virginia, Rev. Victoria Parham, Eulogist.
