Mrs. Lucy Ann Turner, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend departed this life Saturday, November 19, 2022, at her home after a brief illness.  Lucy was the third of ten children born to the late Walter and Pearl Taylor.

Lucy was a very good person, she was loving and willing to do anything for you, especially cooking a meal for you.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Turner; one brother Richard Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her, one daughter, Doris Taylor (Marvin Wyatt), one son, Kamari she raised from a baby; one granddaughter, Markita Taylor (James); two great-granddaughters; Kaylani Willis and Zariyah Willis; three sisters, Catherine Taylor of Petersburg, VA, Pearlie Turner (Rev. Fenton Turner) and Rose Tabb all of Waverly, VA; six nieces, Denise Taylor, Jane White, Pamela Taylor, Shamika Taylor, Lasheka Brown and Micole Taylor; one brother, Howard Taylor; three nephews, Kenneth, Darryl, Deon, and Travis; ten great-nieces and one great-nephew and a host of cousins and friends. Among Lucy's devoted friends are Tanisha Winfield and Nikita Sumler and she leaves to cherish her memory many more.

Lucy loved cooking and talking on the phone to everyone.  She enjoyed doing puzzle books and playing cards with Kamari when he came to visit her.  Lucy was very friendly with everyone she encountered and loved being at home.

She will definitely be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be 1:00pm Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Peace Funeral Home, 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, Virginia.  Interment will follow at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Virginia.

Public Viewing will be 10:00am - 5:00pm Friday, November 25, 2022, at Peace Funeral Home, Waverly, Virginia.
