Obituary

Lucille B. Parker 84, of Waverly, Virginia departed this life on March 19, 2022. She was born November 13, 1937, to Willie and Katie Baines.

She was preceded in death by her son Ronnie Parker, her parents Willie and Katie Baines; brother, John Lee Baines, sisters, Willie Mae Brown and Nancy R. Harris.

She worked for many years as a live-in maid. She also served as a CNA for various private clients as well as several nursing homes until her retirement.

She enjoyed cooking, drawing, painting and she enjoyed reading the Bible.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Barbara D. Parker; grandsons Ronnie Parker and Javon D. Parker; granddaughters, Brittany A. Parker and Crystal D. Parker; great-grandsons, Dereon O. Smith, Ronnie Parker Jr., and Bryson A. Johnson; great-granddaughter, Milani E. Williams; two aunts, Virginia Brown and Francis Patterson; brothers, Walter Baines (Bennie) of Petersburg, VA, Lorenzo Baines of Carson, VA, Glenn Baines of  Hopewell, VA, Donald Baines of Waverly, VA and Lenard Baines of Portsmouth, VA; sisters, Kathryn Baines of Waverly, VA, and Margie Faulcon of Dewitt, VA; a host of nieces, nephews other family and friends.

The Family would like to personally thank Tara Jones for everything she did to care for Lucille nothing you did went unnoticed.

Public Viewing for Mrs. Parker will be 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday, March 25, 2022, at Peace Funeral Home, Waverly, Virginia.

Graveside Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Virginia.
