On December 21, 2023, at 10:33 p.m. our beloved Lorenzo L. Parham departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior. Lorenzo was born February 24, 1953, in Sussex County, Virginia.

Lorenzo was educated in the Sussex County School System and upon completion he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for many years. Subsequently, he worked and retired from Tegel Airport in Berlin, Germany. Lorenzo resided in Germany for over 40 years until his health declined and he returned to the United States. Lorenzo was blessed to travel the world and enjoy life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Nelson Taylor, and grandmother, Jennie Parham.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 40 plus years Barbara Parham, Berlin, Germany; his mother, Lue Taylor; one sister, Jannette Green (William); two brothers, Carlee Parham, and George Taylor (Terri); one aunt, Addie Parham (Oscar-deceased); one uncle, Melvin Ravenell (Ethel Mae-deceased) two nieces, two nephews and a host of great-nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Katrisha Smith who provided unwavering devotion and assistance during Lorenzo's final stages of life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon, on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Lily of the Valley Deliverance Center, 411 Oak Street, Waverly, Virginia. Bishop Marvin Drew Sr, Pastor, and Eulogist, Bishop Eldridge Lucas, Officiating.

Interment will follow immediately at the Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Virginia
