Mrs. Leona Hines' Obituary
Leona Hines, age 84, entered into eternal peace on January 3, 2017 at her home in Littleton, VA.
She was born on January 25, 1932, to Hugh and LuRena Mason. As a young child, her family moved to Sussex County where she live the remainder of her life. Leona married Reverend Freddie Hines on January 20, 1951. They were married for 65 years.
Leona is survived by her devoted husband, Rev. Freddie Hines; devoted daughter, Sharon Duncan (Jay) of Fords, NJ; one sister, Shirley Bonner of Buffalo, NY.
Visitation for Mrs. Hines will be 5:00pm – 7:00pm, Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Peace Funeral Home, 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, VA.
Because of inclement weather Mrs. Hines' Funeral Service will be 12:00pm, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Union Hill United Church of Christ, 16192 Union Hill Road, Sedley, VA, Pastor Roy Stokes, Officiating. Interment will follow at the Union Hill Church Cemetery.
