Lawrence "Booley" Urquhart, 75, of Wakefield, Virginia, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019, at Bayside Health Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his family.

Lawrence, also affectionately known as "Booley", was born May 21, 1943, in Sussex County, Virginia to the late Lorraine Moore and Eddie Jones. He graduated from Sussex County Training School in 1961. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. Lawrence was united in holy matrimony to the late Doris "Cat" Jean Urquhart in 1965. The blessed bond of their marriage for thirty-five years, brought forth three beloved children, Lawrence "Sam" Urquhart, Dietrix Urquhart, and Desiree Urquhart.

Public Viewing will be held from 12-5PM, Friday, April 5, 2019, at Peace Funeral Home in Waverly, Virginia. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 6, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Wakefield, 217 S County Drive, Wakefield, Virginia 23888.
