Joyce "Tot" Bailey Drew 76, of Waverly, VA entered eternal life on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.  Joyce was born on April 3, 1947, to the late Gracie L. Bailey and the late Lawrence Bailey.  Joyce attended and graduated from Sussex Public Schools in 1966. She accepted Christ at an early age and never deviated from the love she had for her Lord.

Tot was employed for years at Seward Luggage in Petersburg, VA until her vision was impaired, then her passion for kids kicked in and she started working in the Child Care field until her health declined.  She would often make the children feel like part of her family with the love and kindness that she showed them.

She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Bailey, her parents, Gracie L. Bailey and Lawrence Bailey, and her aunt Shirley V. Ricks.

She leaves to cherish her love and memories, her husband of 25 years Cobie Drew of Waverly, VA; four daughters, Stephanie (Terry) Smith, Keysha Hamlin, both of Waverly, VA, Neka (Phillip Jr) Wilkins of Surry, VA and Vonda Coleman of Norfolk, VA; grandchildren, Jontrell (Alya) Bailey of Newport News, VA, Kynnidi Bailey of Wakefield,  VA, Kwakeysha Hamlin, Nyesha Crocker of Waverly, VA, Alexis, August, Phillip III Wilkins of Surry, VA, Devon Coleman of Norfolk, VA; great grandchildren, Kimani, Khiyani, Kannan, Mason, Kansas and Kacy Bailey all of Waverly, VA, Ayvah Bailey of Newport News, VA; god daughters, Fredericka (Vernon) Holmes of Surry, VA, Cartina Bell of Baltimore, Maryland, Sylvia (Fred) Benson Greene of Suffolk,  VA and Violet Coleman of Waverly, VA; god son, Arthur Lee Drew Jr. of Disputanta, VA, Karlos Turner of Prince George, VA, Walter Jones of Waverly, VA, Walter Eley of Surry, VA; devoted cousins, Sister Linda Brown of Wakefield, VA, Ann Reavis of Waverly, VA, Vazel Turner and Keonuta Brown of Wakefield, VA; a loving and special aunt, Shirley Taylor of Suffolk, VA; devoted friends Sharon Eley of Waverly, VA,  Jean Shaw of Surry, VA and Amanda of Hopewell, VA.

Joyce was a Godly Faithful Woman who loved the Lord and everyone she came in contact with.  If you knew her then you knew "Tot" would give you the shirt off her back, Joyce joined Lily of the Valley in Waverly, VA where she became a faithful member.  When the doors of the Church were open you knew Sis Drew was going to be there.  She loved her Lily of the Valley Church family, and they loved her.  Her presence was a blessing, if you asked her how she was doing her answer never changed "I'm blessed and highly favored" with a smile on her face.

A Celebration of Life will be at 12 Noon, Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Lily of the Valley Deliverance Center, Waverly, Virginia, Bishop Marvin Drew Sr., Pastor.  Interment will follow immediately at Waverly Cemetary, Waverly, Virginia.

Public Viewing will be 10:00am - 5:00pm at Peace Funeral Home, Waverly, Virginia.
