On July 28, 2017, God called home his angel, Mr. James Jarmont Jarrett, Jr. While our hearts are saddened at our sudden loss, we know that God has a plan and a purpose for everything in our lives.

James was born on November 7, 1988. He was 28 years old and a resident of Waverly, VA. James attended Sussex County Public Schools. He was a longtime employee of Hardees of Waverly and was currently employed by the landscaping company A Lawn Beautician in Hampton, VA.

Known to his family and friends by many lovable nicknames such as Jarmont, Jaime, Manni-Poo, and Tripp, he was a lovable, smart, chill, cool, laid back and funny person who loved to have fun and spend time with family and friends. His smile and laughter would brighten any room, and he was always friendly and kind to everyone. James was also a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.
James was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mr. George Jarrett, Jr. and maternal grandfather Mr. John Thomas, Jr.
His memory will be cherished by his beloved parents Mr. James and Mrs. Inez Jarrett of Waverly, VA and his devoted only sister, Miss Iesha Jarrett of Waverly, VA.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his paternal grandmother Mrs. Hattie B. Jarrett of Waverly, VA, and maternal grandmother Mrs. Inez Thomas of Disputanta, VA. He was a dearly loved nephew of his paternal aunts and uncles Mrs. June Everson (Winfred) of Waverly, VA, Mrs. Cathy Brooks (Cornelius) of Richmond VA, Mr. George Jarrett, III (Tracy) of Glen Allen, VA, Mrs. Regina Norris (Tommy) of Columbia, SC, Mrs. Joyce Gurley of Chester, VA, Ms. Delores A. Jarrett of Waverly, VA, Mr. Kenneth Jarrett of Waverly, VA, Mr. Calvin Jarrett (Patricia) of Chesapeake, VA, and maternal aunts and uncle Mrs. JoAnn Mayes (Paul) of South Prince George, VA, Ms. Barbara Thomas of Chester, VA, Ms. Sharon Thomas of Prince George, VA and Mr. Jerry Thomas of Bowie, MD. Memories of James will also be held dearly by a host of devoted great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at First Baptist Church located at 315 S Church St. Waverly, VA. Elder Willie Thomas, Pastor of St. Paul Holiness Church, Waverly, VA will be the eulogist.
