Mr. James Ben Wilkins Jr., "Bean Bug", of Waverly, Virginia departed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. He was born on September 11, 1960, in Sussex County, Virginia to the late James Ben Wilkins Sr. and Celestine Taylor Wilkins. He was preceded in death by his sister Janet D. Smith.
He leaves behind a son, Deon Taylor; his sisters Elaine Dobie (Josiah), Ernestine Mason (Curtis), Vivian Green, Diana Wilkins, Ophelia Wilkins (Alphonso), Glenice Felts (Titus), Barbara Jackson (Leonard), Alfreda Wilkins, and Fannie Wilkins(Phillip); brother Walter Wilkins (Terri); Aunts Shirley Ellis, Ophelia Graves, and Lou Taylor. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Devoted friends Leon Johnson, Steven Cooper, Keith Jackson, and Calvin Ruffin. Devoted cousin Sonya Taylor, and Godbrother William Ricks.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be 1:00pm Monday, December 14, 2020, at Waverly Cemetery, Spring Branch Road, Waverly, VA, Elder Terrence Green, Empowerment Temple Waverly, VA officiating.
