Harriet was born on February 17, 1954 to the late Frank and Cora Lee Felts at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk, Virginia.
Harriet preceded in death by her brother Edward (Buster) Banks, sisters-in-law Cordelia Banks, Brenda Clark and Alice Clayborne; brothers-in-law Johnny Clabourne, Cornell Clayborne and Byrd Clayborne Jr.
She was educated in Surry and Sussex County Public Schools.
Harriet was a former employee of Smithfield Packing Smithfield, Virginia, Purdue Prince George, Virginia and later retired from the Virginia Diner Wakefield, Virginia.
At an early age Harriet gave her life to Christ and was baptized and joined First Baptist Church Wakefield, Virginia. She later joined in fellowship with Oak Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Leslie Holloway Jr.
Harriet enjoyed cooking and shopping at the local stores in Wakefield, the Dollar General and Wakefield Market. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Harriet never met a stranger she always greeted you with that beautiful radiant and signature smile with "Hi Baby"
She leaves to carry on her legacy, two daughters, Tonya Clayborne and Tiffany Turner (Alexis), an adopted son, Eric Pretlow (Kayla) of Suffolk,, VA, brother, Gordon Bain, Baltimore, MD, stepdaughters, Tunisha Jones (Ron Lee), and Colette Turner, stepson Rodriquez Turner, grandchildren Alexea (Tykia) Turner, Amonte Turner, Angel Pretlow, Lyrick (Lee-Lee) Turner, sister-in-law Gerri Clabourne Sierra Vista, AZ, her daughters-in-love Patricia Hill, Robin Augcomfar, Shamika Taylor, Shelly Stringfield, Tara Silver, LaWanda Green, Navyeta King, devoted niece Jennifer Jones (Stanley), nieces, nephews, devoted friends Viola Brown, Timothy Stringfield, Tamara Jones and Linda Gray.
A Memorial Service will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 38070 Rocky Hock Road, Wakefield, Virginia.
