Sis Ethel Walker of 238 Dogwood Street, Waverly, VA departed this life Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center.  She was born June 23, 1948 in Southampton County to the late Albert and Ella Ridley Hatch.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Albert Jr., James and Samuel Hatch.

She received her education in Sussex County Public Schools.  She faithfully attended Rising Star Deliverance Center, Waverly, VA, until her health declined.  She was quiet, but she loved praising and worshipping God.

She leaves to cherish her memories: ex-husband, Floyd Walker, one devoted daughter, Darlene Hatch Morris (Douglas); three grandchildren, Dalesha, Douglas II and Vernika Morris; three sisters, Irene Hatch Shaw (Horace); Christine Hatch, Ella Taylor White; one brother, Lorenzo Hatch; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Hatch and Ruby Hatch; one aunt, Rev. Sarah Gholson; one devoted niece, Ophelia Hatch Jackson (Jimmy); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special cousin, Prophetess Alberta Chambers who visited and prayed with her often.

A Celebration of life for Ms. Walker will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Rose of Sharon Apostolic Church 437 Elem Street, Waverly, VA, Bishop Tyrone Harper, Pastor.  Interment will follow at Waverly Cemetery.
