Mr. Edward Junius Warren, "Lurch," of Spring Grove, Va., departed this life on Friday, June 27, 2014, at John Randolph Medical Center, Hopewell, Va.

He was born April 12, 1958, in Sussex County, Va., to Edward Davis and the late Lizzie Warren Davis. Mr. Warren was employed by Sussex and Surry Maintenance Department for 27 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lizzie Davis, and brother, Floyd Lee Warren.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Annie Bain Warren of Spring Grove, Va.; son, Edricco Bain of Spring Grove, Va.; father, Edward Davis of Surry, Va.; two sisters, Audrey W. Newby (Gerald) of Smithfield, Va., and Luvinia Carter of Williamsburg, Va.; five brothers, Wilson Warren (Goldie) of Surry, Va., Thomas Carter (Shirley) of Surry, Va., Cleveland Carter (Harriett) of Dendron, Va., David Warren (Helena) of Smithfield, Va., and Alfred Davis (Lorraine) of Dendron, Va.; sister-in-law, Steve Jones (Howard) of Wakefield, Va.; brother-in-law, Clarence Bain Jr. (Audrey) of Wakefield, Va.; mother-in-law, Thelma Bain of Wakefield, Va.; six grandchildren, Ziyanni Price, Emoni Price, Amairyon Smith, Edricco Bain Jr., Damoni Bain and Eziyah Bain of Wakefield, Va.; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Warren will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Lebanon Baptist Church, Spring Grove, Va.; the Rev. James Charity, pastor, dfficiating. Interment will follow at Booker T. Memorial Park Cemetery, Wakefield, Va.
