Edward Thomas Taylor, 92 also know as "Edie Wood" departed this life on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. He was born May 31, 1926 to Silas & Maria Brown of Littleton, VA. He was predeceased by his loving wife Missionary Veola R. Thomas-Taylor; one sister Rosa Brown and one brother Purnell Brown Sr.

He was employed by Presson & Warthan,Waverly, Virginia for over 40 years. He had very strong work ethics (never missed a day from work). He served faithfully as a Deacon at St. Paul Holiness Church, Waverly for over 50 years; no job was too big or small for him to tackle; whether it came to cutting the grass or cleaning the church. He was always a helping hand to the Pastors, Sick and Elderly. You could depend on him to get the job done!

As an overwhelming desire to support his son in Ministry, he joined Signs & Wonders Church of Deliverance, Stony Creek, VA; now known as Signs & Wonders Ministries Chester Virginia where he attended until his health failed.

He leaves to cherish his memory 5 daughters: Beatrice L. Dawson, Hester L. Jones (Joseph), Ruth T. Mason (James), Gloria Taylor-Harris, Effie Taylor- Scott; 4 Sons: Edward Taylor Jr., Joe Nathan Taylor (Viola) Paul Alexander Taylor (Pat) and David Orlando Taylor (Laura); 59 Grand, Great & Great -Great grandchildren; he leaves a devoted extended family consisting of Nieces, Nephews and friends! He will be sadly missed by us all!

Public Viewing will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Peace Funeral Home, 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, Virginia.

Homegoing Service for Mr. Taylor will be 12:00 Noon, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Rose of Sharon Apostolic Church, 438 Elm Street, Waverly, Virginia.
