Edward Taylor, Jr. departed this life at 7:00am on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at John Randolph-TriCities Hospital in Hopewell, Virginia. He was born August 22, 1947, to the loving union of Deacon Edward T. & Missionary Viola Taylor of Waverly, VA who preceded him in death.

He received his formal education at Sussex Central High School. "The Artist of the Family" he was employed by Shoneys of Petersburg Virginia for over 40 Years. He also worked at Fire Stone for 5 years plus. He had a very strong work ethic. He loved his girls deeply! He served faithfully at NGKCD until his health failed. You could depend on him for a kind word, and he would always leave you with a smile on your face!

He leaves to cherish his memories, four daughters: Apostle Stephanie White (Rodney) of Wakefield VA, Waneka Williams, Justine Rollins, and Trease Rollins of Petersburg VA. eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and five sisters: Beatrice L. Dawson, Hester L. Jones (Joseph), Ruth T. Mason (James), Gloria Taylor-Harris, and Effie Taylor-Scott; three brothers: Joe Nathan Taylor (Viola), Paul Alexander Taylor (Pat), and Pastor David Orlando Taylor (Dr. Laura); and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends. He will be sadly missed by us all!

A Celebration of Life Service will be 12Noon Saturday, August 10: 2024 at New Greater Kingdom of Deliverance, Waverly, Virginia, Dr Stephanie White, Pastor and Eulogist. Interment will follow at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Virginia.
