Eddie James Parham, affectionately known as “Eddie Kane,” was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He gained his heavenly reward on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.
Eddie was born on May 7, 1963, in Southampton County to the late Earnest Young and Viola Brown. He was educated in the Southampton Public School System.
Eddie was a hardworking man who took great pride in his craft. He had a natural talent and passion for working on cars and trucks and was a skilled mechanic who truly loved what he did. Those who knew Eddie will remember his dedication to his work, his willingness to help others, and the special way he touched the lives of those around him.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Viola Brown and Earnest Young; his brother, Earl Brown; and his sister, Sonya Brown.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughters, Tysheka Davis and Ebony Newby; his cherished grandchildren, Tyonna Davis, Dabria Newby, and Isaac Newby; his loving sister, Adrienne Brown; his loving brother, Joseph Hill; his devoted friend, Ronnie Goodrich; and a host of other relatives, extended family members, and dear friends.
Though Eddie has departed this earthly life, his legacy of love will continue to live on through the family and friends who knew and loved him. His passion for working on cars and trucks, his dedication to those around him, and the memories he created will remain treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Eddie will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
Public Viewing will be 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm Friday, August 28, 2026, at Peace Funeral Home, 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, Virginia.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 12:00 pm Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Peace Funeral Home Chapel, 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, Virginia, Reverend Linda Skipper, Eulogist.
