Dorothy Ricks of 7154 Coppahaunk Road, Waverly, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA.  She was born June 17, 1934 to the late Ramey and Nettie King Ricks.  Three brothers, Robert, Ramey and Freddie and a sister Hazel preceded her in death.

She was converted at an early age and during her life, Dorothy faithfully attended the St. Paul Holiness Church, founded by her grandfather, the late Overseer James H. Ricks.

She served as Organist of the church and she served on several auxiliaries and ministries, until her health declined.

Leaves to cherish her memories:  a niece, Deborah L Mitchell (Bernard) of Monroe, NJ; a nephew, Robert L Ricks (Cynthia) of Queens, NY; three great nieces, Tamika Ricks of Brooklyn, NY, Briana and Lauren Ricks of Queens, NY; two great nephews, Bernard and Justin Mitchell of Queens, NY and New Jersey; also left to cherish her memories are many cousins, relatives and friends; a devoted caregiver, Brenda Burgess.
