Demetrius Le'Nae "MiMi" Taylor of 317 Wye Street, Waverly, Virginia, departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 23, 203 at Obici-Sentara Hospital. She was born on September 13, 1992, to Sonya L. Taylor. Demetrius was reared in Saint Mark Apostolic Faith Church of God where she participated in her youth choir and attended the youth Sunday School regularly. While residing in Wakefield, she attended Triumph in Victory School Christian Church, Wakefield, VA. She is a 2011 graduate of Sussex Central High School and a 2011 graduate of John Tyler Community College's Nursing Aide Program.

Demetrius leaves to cherish her memories, a loving mother, Sonya Taylor; loving and dedicated grandparents and legal guardians, Pastor Joseph and Shirley Ellis who reared her from a baby to adulthood; maternal great grandmother, Geraldine Wilkins; one brother who was like an overprotective father, Darius Taylor (Ladele); two sisters, Danielle Taylor and Dy'Keisha Taylor; a grateful aunt, Sheryl Taylor; one uncle, Darius Conner; two nieces, Da'Nijah Tunrer and Indya Conner; two nephews, Gavin Taylor and Genesis Hill; aunts, uncles, a host of cousins, among them three devoted who were raised together as siblings, Sherita Taylor, Isaiah Taylor, Justin Taylor and a "special Niece" Baby Jade; lots of extended family members; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Rose of Shaon Apostolic Church , Waverly, VA.

Interment will follow in the Waverly Cemetary, Waverly, VA.
