Curtis Terrain Bowling Sr, son of the late Pernell Barrow and John Earl and Helen Garrett was born March 2, 1959.  He departed this life at 1:30 am at Bon Secours Hospital in Petersburg, Virginia.

Curtis was a humble and quiet man that was loved by everyone that he came in contact with.  He was a true and devoted Redskins fan.  Curtis attended Sussex County School and ventured off to the United States Army for a three-year tour.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Curtis Terrain Bowling Jr. of Frankfort, Germany; seven sisters, Audrey (Clarence) Bains of Wakefield, VA, Tracey Hughes of Virginia Beach, VA. Linda (Tyrone) Bagley of Newport News, VA, Justine (Warren) Jones, Nicole  (Tracy) Pegram, Sharon King, and Judy Davis all of Waverly, VA; two brothers, Toney (Celeste) Garrett of Pinetop, NC and Larry Garrett of Columbus, OH; five aunts Lucy Thomas who was a devoted second mother, Deaconess Addie Parham (Oscar), Shirley (Willie) Turner, Annette Cole all of Waverly, VA, and Louise (Clinton) Rogers of Richmond, VA; three uncles David (Virginia) Bolling, Kenneth (Martha Ann) Barrow and Ernest (Valerie) Barrow all of Waverly, VA; and Marilyn C. Newby for being a devoted friend; several devoted friends, Eddie Gurley, Judy Coleman, and Rene Williams.

Public Viewing will be 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Peace Funeral Home, Waverly, VA.

A Celebration of Life Serve will be Friday, August 27, 2021, at Peace Funeral Home Chapel, Waverly, VA.
