Obituary

On April 12, 2020, a beloved brother, uncle, and cousin entered eternal rest at his residence 33193 Walnut Hill Rd. Waverly, VA

He was born December 03, 1961, to the late Mr. Johnnie and Hattie C. Jones of Waverly. He was preceded in death by one sister Mageline Jones, two brothers Leroy Jones, and Johnnie Jones; five uncles Mandy Jones, Arthur Coleman., Mack Jones, Walter Coleman, and Jimmy Coleman; two aunts Maggie Williams, Maybelle Keaton and a host of aunts.

Conrad Jones resided at 33193 Walnut Hill Rd. Waverly Va. with his beloved sister Frances Blackwell. Conrad was educated through Sussex Country Public School. He was also employed by Union Camp in Waverly.  Conrad was a dedicated and dependable worker. Before his health started to decline Conrad loved to sing and listen to his favorite artist (Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gay, Al Green, and The O'Jays.). Conrad would walk through the town of Waverly singing his heart out. When he sang, you had no choice but to give him your attention.   He also enjoyed getting around town on his bicycle before his health declined, but that didn't stop Conrad from going where he wanted to go. Conrad said if "there's a will there's a way" Conrad also loved working on cars and playing pool with his good buddy the late (Winkey).  Conrad was very sociable, fun, exciting and loveable

Conrad Jones leaves to cherish his memories to his beloved sister Frances Blackwell (Reginald Winfield); three brothers Ernest Edwards (Doretha), Therman Jones (Alisha), and Walter Jones (Janice) one uncle Ulysses Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and devoted friends Jerome Flowers of Petersburg, Alice Flowers, Yvonne Taylor, Linda Hamlin, Gary Flowers, Percy Garrett, Walter Turner, Jamie Gray, Mrs. Mamie Turner and the late Yvonne Howard all who are from Waverly.

A special thanks to Personal Touch Home Health Care and Tidewater House Transportation (Ms. Lisa Hawkins & Mr. Thomas) for providing a level of care that only true and dedicated workers could've bestowed upon our beloved Conrad.  We the Jones Family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses (Greta Jones & Sharon Barrow) for ensuring that Conrad had the best care they could've offered.
