God in his infinite wisdom called from labor to rest our dear Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Church Mother and friend, Deaconess Clara V. Stringfield on Thursday, March 29, 2018.

Deaconess Clara was born to the late Susie Rose Parker on December 30, 1929.  She grew up in Sussex County and received her education in the Sussex County public school system.  She joined First Baptist Church in Wakefield at an early age. She served on various committees:  President of the hospitality ministry, Pastor support and the usher board for over 50 years. She was the mother of the church until her passing.

She worked various jobs in her early years.  She worked and retired as civilian worker for the Army and Navy.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Early Stringfield, Jr., Daughter Katherine Faltz, Son Arthur Parker, and grandson Jerome Faltz

She leaves to cherish her dedicated Daughter Hazel Long (Dale) of Danville, VA, Devoted son and daughter-in-law Ronald Parker (Twainya) of Cibelo, TX and a special niece/daughter Marion Stith (Carroll), a dutiful niece Jackie Hill, Grandchildren; Darren Faltz(England), Terri Clayborne, Katrina Faltz, Phil Clayborne, and Sean Clayborne and 6 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, a faithful friend Helena Ellis and a host of family and friends.

Public viewing for Mrs. Stringfield will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and 10:00am to 5:00pm Friday, April 6, 2018 at Peace Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Mrs. Clara will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at First Baptist Church 217 South County Drive in Wakefield, VA.  The interment will follow at Booker T. Memorial Park, Wakefield, VA .
