On Sunday, May 24, 2026, Clara Cornelia Stith peacefully departed this life on earth at Sentara Hospital, Suffolk, Virginia. Cornelia was one of thirteen children born to Choncie and Elaine Stith on February 12, 1935.

She lived in Virginia during her childhood years and attended Southampton County School. Cornelia joined Union Hill UCC at an early age. Later, she moved to White Plains, New York, where she lived until she retired. After retirement, she moved back to Virginia.  She was affectionately known as "Connie".  Connie started the Family Birthday Celebration in White Plains, New York in October 1995 and we continue to have it twice a year from State to State. Connie loved to travel with her family all over the East and West Coasts.  Connie loved to cook and play Skip Bo every 3rd Friday Night of the month with her family.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Choncie and Elaine Stith; siblings,Ida Mae Ricks, Bernard Stith, John Choncie Stith, Alvoncie Stith, and Hazel Owens.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Dian Turner, Larry Stith (Beverly), and Darrell Stith; grandchildren, Ron Ellis, Shaniqua Turner, Mark Stith Jr, LaKendra Stith, Tandra Stith, Darrell Stith, Serita Stith and Samara Stith;  ten great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren. Cornelia's siblings: Ruth Lewis (William), Long Island, NY, Barbara Greene (Thomas), Ivor, VA, Earl Stith (Mary) Maryland, Curtis Stith (Gertrude), Prince George, VA, Alvin Stith (Helen) Waverly, VA, Charles Stith, Suffolk, VA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Connie's devoted friend Edna Meril lives in North Carolina.
