On Saturday, February 3, 2019, God decided to call Chrishard Lamont "Ching" Gatling Home.  Chrishard was born in Wakefield, VA on September 4, 1986, to Christopher "Wobb" (who preceded him in death) & Bernice Turner.

He graduated in the Class of 2004 from Sussex Central High School.  He was employed at Plantation Peanut.  He was a ride or die Washington Redskins Fan!  With Chrishard, what you saw was what you got at all times.  If you were lucky enough to be his friend, you know he was an easy-going, fun-loving human being.  He brought happiness as soon as he hit the door, not for himself, but for others to laugh.  At this time we must come together and laugh for his sake because he would not want us to sad.

Chrishard will be missed daily by his loving mother, Bernice Turner; 2 beautiful kids, Isaiah Tyler (9) and E'mani Gatling (7); his brother, DeMarcus Gatling Sr. (Kamee); his sister, Angela Turner; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Chrishard was preceded in death by his father,  Christopher Turner; his grandparents, Margaret & Charlie Gatling and Smith Linwood & Gracie Turner.

Homegoing Service for Chrishard will be 11:00am, Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Mars Hill AME Zion Church, 111 Williams Lane, Wakefield, VA, Rev. Willie Dixon, Pastor eulogizing.  Interment will follow at Booker T. Memorial Park.
