Carol Drew's Obituary
On Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, God called home one of His angels, Carol "Skeeter" Drew, formerly of 401 New St., Waverly, Va. He peacefully departed this life at the Waverly Health & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Dec. 5, 1933, to the late Roosevelt and Elsie Drew.
He is survived by his son, Darnell Drew Sr. of Waverly, Va.; two sisters, Sarah Barrow (James) of Waverly, Va., and June Neal (Reginald) of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, Darnell Drew Jr., Amesha and Aneka Taylor and Dar'Najah and Sha'naiyah Drew; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the residence of his sister, Sarah Barrow, 418 Bryan Court, Waverly, Va.
His remains rest at Peace-Bland Funeral Home, 237 Railroad Ave., Waverly, Va.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Empowerment Temple Of Christ, 219 North County Drive, Waverly, Va., with Pastor Terrence Green officiating. Interment will follow immediately in the First Baptist Church, Waverly, Va
