Betty L. Thomas peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.  She was born October 11, 1931, to the late Elder Willie and Mother Effine Thomas, Evangelist Thomas was preceded in death by her four sisters, Mother Viola Taylor, Mother Geraldine Wilkins, Melvin Thomas, and Janice Lockett.

Evangelist Thomas received her high school education at Sussex County Training School in, Virginia. Evangelist Thomas lived in Patterson, New Jersey for over 60 years. She was employed as a Supervisor at the Bergen Pines Hospital Laundry Services in Bergen County, New Jersey for 31 years.

Evangelist Thomas was a faithful member of the New Day International Church where Ezekiel Massop is the Presiding Bishop. She loved to pray and give God the praise for his marvelous works.

She loved giving to others and serving the Lord. She was an awesome cook and would she enjoy going on bus rides to the Dutch country in Pennsylvania to see the Christian plays.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted niece Danyelle Thomas and nephew Malachi Bryant (Enatenesh). Her two brothers, Pastor Willie Thomas, Jr. (Alvinia) and Bishop Timothy C. Thomas (Patricia), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of LifeGraveside Service will be 1:00pm, Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Waverly Cemetery, Spring Branch Road, Waverly, Virginia, Pastor Willie Thomas Jr.,
