Early Monday morning February 26, 2024, Barbara departed her earthly home at her residence at 29245 Meadowview Drive, Waverly, Virginia.

Barbara was born on December 30, 1953, to the late Nathaniel and Nannie Williams.  Barbara received her education from  Sussex County Public Schools.  She graduated from Central High in 1973. Barbara joined her Family Church Plank Road Baptist Church, Waverly, Virginia at an early age.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Barbara's favorite song was, "This Little Light of Mine".  Her favorite Bible passage was the "23rd Psalms".  Barbara was often engaged in conversation when her friends visited with her.  She was very aware of today's current events.  Her friends would lovingly say if I want any of the active politics or events "ask Barbara"

Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Rosa Mae Williams, one step-brother, Deacon James Edward Williams; four brothers, Nathaniel Williams, Deacon James Langston Williams, Harold Williams, and Ernest Williams.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memories, one sister Katherine Williams; two nephews Edward Grant and Carlton Perry Sr.(Arlene); one niece, Tina Williams; two great-nephews, Darnell Williams, and Carlton Perry Jr.; three great-nieces, Trina Perry, Anayia and Mia; and a host of cousins, devoted friends, Dorothy Williams, Richard Giles, Mildred Smith, Trekita White, Tonya Smith, Diane Smith, Sheila and Nathaniel Whitfield, Edward and Yvonne Turner.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 12:00pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Peace Funeral Home 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, Virginia, Rev. Willie Thomas, Eulogist.
