Ms. Annie Louise Stewart of Waverly, Virginia transitioned to her Heavenly Home on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 86 years of age.  She was born April 14, 1936, to the late Wallace Price and Mary Simms-Price.

Annie is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Teague "Pinky"; grandson, Christian Teague "Chris" and her sisters Helen, Queen, Mary, and Martha Ann. Annie was blessed to witness a continued lineage with the birth of two great-grandchildren, Noah and Talia Teague.  She will be fondly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

A true survivor Annie at a young age was involved in a car accident that claimed the lives of her Mother, Brother, and Sister.  Although Annie lived she was told that she would never walk again.  Despite devasting loss Annie with her feisty determination persevered, she not only walked but went on to raise three children a sibling, her daughter, and a grandchild.  She found joy in life through music and faith, she toured in her younger years as a background singer for James Brown, and later she sang for Christ in many Churches across the Country.  One of her greatest achievements was her graduation from Bible College in New York.  Her credentials led her to proudly serve as an evangelist. Devote to her faith, she hosted meetings, preaching the Gospel of Christ in her basement for all who wanted to come and worship.  Strong, Loving, and courageous, Annie made a true impact in the lives of everyone she met.  A fearless protector, she didn't hold back in her defense of loved ones.  If you knew her you were blessed by her either openly or in the private prayers, she kept in her Bible.
