Angela O.
Gray
April 9, 1959 – March 10, 2020
Angela Gray, 60 was born April 9, 1959, to the late, James David and Emma Louise Barrow of Waverly, Va. God granted Angela eternal mercy and called her home on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
Angela was known as the family protector, always ready to voice her strong opinions and stand beside you offering guidance and support.
She was educated in the Sussex County School System; she finished her education while in Job Corps. Angela's passion as a caregiver assisted her in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant where she was able to fulfill her dream to care for those in need. Angela was a great homemaker, she loved taking care of and providing for her family. She was a force to reckon with in the town of Waverly; always willing to listen, assist, petition and fight for everything good about Waverly.
She was a member of Rose of Sharon Church, Waverly, Virginia, where she re-dedicated her life to the Lord through baptism in 2012; Angela stated this was her Re-Birth.
Angela leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted spouse of 17 years, Clarence Gray; son, James D. Parham (JD); siblings, Linda Perry, Liddy Barrow, Laura Barrow, Claudette White, Eunice Jordan(Lem), Melissa Barrow, Rachel Barrow, David Barrow, Tara Barrow and Dennis Barrow(Shellie); mother-in-love, Gracie Gray(preceded in death –Clarence Sr,); sister-in-love, Mayvis Petticolas; grandchildren, Ja'Kiya and Jaysun Parham; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends too numerous to list.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Gray will be 1:00pm Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, VA.
