Andrea M. (Hamlin) Brown was a resident of Goldsboro, NC for several years. Prior to that time, she resided in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Andrea entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the REX hospital in Raleigh, NC. She is preceded in death by her late husband, James Brown of Petersburg, VA.

Andrea was the first-born child to Gloria Artis and Joseph Hamlin on April 7, 1971. She attended the Sussex County Public Schools, to include elementary and high school. Andrea was baptized and joined Apostolic Foundations Ministries in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on January 19, 2020.

Andrea leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Gloria Artis; sister, Towana Rojas (Daniel); father, Joseph Hamlin. She was a loving, caring star on center stage to her four children:  two daughters – Natash M. Hamlin of Fayetteville, NC; Terriyonda L. Hayes (Shawn) of Fayetteville, NC; two sons – Andre Hamlin (Chesterfield) and DeAndre Hamlin (Richmond), grandmother to twelve grandchildren; a devoted friend, Drextel Wright; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many caring friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 10686 Ivor Road, Ivor, Virginia, Elder Dionte Futrell, Pastor, and Rev. Donald Carter officiating.
