In the still of the night on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 an angel of the Lord beckoned home our beloved Alfreda Annette Taylor. Annette brightened this world on March 28, 1960. She was the fourth born to the late Henry and Dorothy Smith.
Annette was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Walter "Joe" Taylor, her siblings: Leon Smith, Angela Watkins and Russell Smith.
Annette was a 1978 graduate of Sussex Central High. She was employed with Standard Motor Products until her health declined. Annette was a committed and joyful worker at numerous places such as Circle D Mart, Sussex II State Prison, as well as a licensed Cosmetologist where she was loved by all she encountered.
Annette truly loved everyone she met, she had a special love for her family, church family, children and friends. Annette became active in her church and her community before and after her health declined. Annette love to listen to gospel music and anything concerning her walk with God.
Cherishing her memories are her loving and devoted husband, Timothy Taylor; two sons, Toriyonda and Jarvis Smith; three god-children, Sharade Watkins, Trevon Coleman and Zhi'unni Epps; five sisters Diana Smith, Brenda Greene (John), Arleen Smith, Sharon Smith, Linda Johnson(Gerald); one brother, Tyrone Smith; one aunt, Thelma Newsome(George); mother-in-law, Juanita Taylor, three brothers-in-law, Larry Taylor(Jacqueline), Ronnie Taylor, Jerry Taylor; one sister-in-law, Tonya Taylor. A host of nieces and nephews. Devoted friends: Jennifer Brock, Mary Ann Coleman Paula Kelly, Bernice Mathews, Bernice Procise, Terri Taylor, Carolyn White and the floral bearers.

Funeral service for Mrs. Taylor will be Sussex Central High School, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Noon, Rev. Bobby Ricks, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, VA.
