On February 11, 2024, a devoted father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend entered eternal rest. Alexander Smith Jones was born on March 04, 1965, to the late Albert and Margie Brown.  Alexander Smith Jones resided at 848 Hinton St., Petersburg, Virginia. with his loyal cousin Tasha Jones for 8 plus years.

He was employed with Perdue Chicken of Prince George Virginia., Food Lion Distribution of Prince George Virginia., and Glenn Automotive of Waverly, Virginia. Alexander received his education from Sussex County Public Schools where he obtained his certifications. Alexander loved working on cars, carpentry, and small, odd jobs for family and friends.

Alexander Smith Jones leaves to cherish his memories his beloved daughter Miss. Amanda R. Jones, three devoted siblings Albert M. Brown (Brenda) of Claremont VA., and Arlene M. Brown of Petersburg VA. And Shavon L. Brown of Fayetteville NC. one devoted aunt Connie E. Jones of Waverly, VA., One faithful aunt Jennifer Jones of Waverly, VA, one step aunt Justin Jones (Warren) of Waverly VA., two loyal cousins Tasha Jones and Alfonso Shaw of Petersburg VA and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins to continue his legacy. Alexander was devoted to his family and friends which he bestowed upon everyone every chance he had.  "Shorty You Will Be Missed but Never Forgotten "

A Celebration on Life will be 1:00pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Peace Funeral Home Chapel, 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, Virginia, Rev. Audie Ellis, Eulogist. Interment will follow at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Virginia.

Public Viewing will be 10:00am - 6:00pm Friday, February 23, 2024, at Peace Funeral Home, Waverly, Virginia.
