After a Short Battle with Cancer, Alexander (Peter) Jackson died peacefully on September 22, 2015 at the age of 85 in Waverly, VA. He was a widower of Argean Jackson.

Peter was born on June 28, 1930 to the late Sam and Elizabeth Jackson in Sussex County Virginia where he became a long lived native. Peter worked as a truck driver for Daniel Coddeyco Trucking for many years before he retired. After retiring Peter was able to continue living his life doing things that he loved and enjoyed. He loved to do his gardening, collecting used items for resale, and enjoyed fishing.

Peter was preceded in death by his daughter, Marry Ann Cotton.

In his death he, Alexander leaves to mourn: his loving children, Wayne Givens, Alexander Jackson Jr., Louise Jackson, Betty Jackson, Cathy Jackson, Rita Jackson, Dorothy Thompson; sister in law Catherine Givens; brother in law George Howell Sr.; daughter in law Cynthia Givens; Son in law Kevin Thompson, Michael Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Mr. Jackson will be 1:00pm, Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Peace Bland Funeral Home Chapel, 237 Railroad Avenue, Waverly, VA
