April 14, 1962 – April 16, 2025
Adam Busby of Dendron, Virginia, departed this life on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at his residence. He was the son of the late Vernice Hamlin, born April 14, 1963, in Estill, South Carolina.
Adam was raised by his grandparents, Frampton and Hannah Busby, in Estill, South Carolina. At an early age, he joined Thankful Baptist Church. After graduating from Estill High School, Adam joined the National Guard and served for two years.
Adam learned carpentry from his Uncle at Busby Construction Company. He worked in carpentry for a while and various other jobs in South Carolina before he moved to Virginia in 2000. He was currently employed at Springhill Suites by Marriott for nine years.
Adam leaves to cherish his memories, his loving friend Tracey, his brother, Mark Lamont Hamlin, two nephews, Mark Jr. and Xavier, his adopted sister, Gloriastein, his uncle, L.H. (Jeanie)Busby of Estill, SC, three aunts, Clara Busby Gonzalez of Orangeburg, SC, Earlene Busby Brandy and Ingram Busby of Estill, SC and a host cousins and friends in South Carolina and Florida.
Adam's life was a testament to resilience and perseverance, overcoming challenges with grace and strength. His legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Saint Paul's Holiness Church, 8645 Rolfe Highway, Dendron, Virginia, Elder Welton E. Blount, Pastor and Eulogist. Interment will follow at Union Hill Church Cemetery, 16192 Union Hill Road, Sedley, Virginia 23878.
